LEAD/OUTSOURCE EXPERIENCE

As Lead Prop Artist and Outsource Manager at Arctic 7, I was responsible for a myriad of tasks throughout production of the game.

Programs and Techniques Used: Nanite, UE5, RGB Masks, Multiple UV sets, Confluence, Jira, Substance Designer & Painter

As Lead, I:

  • mentored and tasked artists, primarily using Jira and Miro to provide feedback and paint-overs.

  • collaborated with other departments to plan sprints, budget out tasks and time frames.

  • Created tileable materials in Substance Designer to be used with RGB masks

  • collaborated with Art Director regarding look and feel of levels, using these discussions to plan out future assets.

  • blocked out prototype kits in Unreal 5 for levels to be provided to Outsourcing team and internal artists.

  • wrote Confluence documentation regarding internal process, to be provided to new artists for Onboarding.

  • Created entire naming convention and folder structure used in Content Browser in Unreal

  • Collaborated with other departments to review technical budgets, test processes, and advance Nanite knowledge

As Outsource Manager, I:

  • Was trusted by Art Director with his vision enough to attend and run Outsource meetings with External Vendor and review assets.

  • Ensure technical fidelity and texel density was reached on each asset provided and ensure it met with our general direction for the game.

  • Ensure Outsource team was on track and had necessary feedback (paint-overs in Miro provided by me) and were aware of goals and timelines.
